Player Story
Towering fast bowler Brendan Doggett is originally from Toowoomba and earned a rookie contract with the Queensland Bulls in 2016/17 to begin his domestic career. He was then upgraded onto their senior list for the 2017/18 season, making his Sheffield Shield debut that season. After 19 Shield matches with the Bulls, including two winning finals, the West End Redbacks signed Doggett ahead of the 2021/22 season, excited about the pace and experience he would bring to his new state.
In 2016, Doggett was named the Lord’s Taverners Indigenous Cricketer of the Year and was part of the landmark Aboriginal XI tour of the UK in June 2018. Outside of cricket, Doggett is a fully qualified carpenter.
