The South Australian Cricket Association is excited to host three blockbuster games of cricket at the iconic Adelaide Oval, showcasing the South Australian Disability Representative Teams, as they prepare for the 2025 National Cricket Inclusion Championships. South Australia will compete in three divisions at the Championships - Blind and Low Vision, Deaf and Hard of Hearing, and Intellectual Disability; SA will also have player representation in the women’s blind and low vision and women’s deaf and hard of hearing competitions.
The SA teams will play respectively against Taverners (SA Branch), SA Parliamentarians, and the SA Police Cricket Team. SACA’s Head of Competition Experience, Tom Fenoughty said “SACA is thrilled to provide this opportunity as a final ‘hit out’ to the teams, who have been preparing diligently to compete against the best from across Australia.”
“SACA is committed to providing pathway opportunities for cricketers with a disability to play at the highest level Nationally and be the best cricketers they can. The selected players play a key role in demonstrating cricket is a ‘Sport for All’ and inspiring the next generation.”
