The SA Outbacks playing squads have been confirmed ahead of the Toyota Australian Country Cricket Championships, to be held in the Barossa from 3-10 January 2025.
Skippered by Tanunda Cricket Club’s Coby Cornish, the South Australia Country Men’s squad is brimming with experience. The team will be hoping for a repeat of 2016, where they claimed the championship on home turf in Mount Gambier.
Following their most recent title in 2023, the SA Country Women have named a squad full of promising young talent. Four players under the age of 18 will be led by Stephanie Beazleigh and the experienced Britt Perry and Cara Fiebig.
The 2025 Toyota Australian Country Cricket Championships have been made possible thanks to the generous support of The Barossa Council, the Barossa & Light Cricket Association and their affiliated clubs.
A feature will be the South Australia Country Men’s team taking on defending champions Queensland Country in a one-day fixture at Adelaide Oval on Saturday 4 January, commencing at 10am.
The Championships will culminate in a function held at the Tanunda Recreation Park Clubrooms on Friday 10 January. The venue was announced as the 2023/24 SACA Community Cricket Facility of the Year in March, receiving a $10,000 solar package kindly donated by Tindo Solar.
