SA Sheffield Shield Squad v QLD

The South Australian Men will travel to Queensland for their second game of the Sheffield Shield season to take on the Bulls at Allan Border Field Sunday, October 20.

Their previous match against NSW saw the team hold on for a draw after a slow start. Alex Carey and captain Nathan McSweeney impressed with the bat each scoring centuries in the second innings to survive the final day of play.

Alex Carey returns for the game against Queensland hoping to back up his spectacular start with the bat and gloves in the Sheffield Shield. The squad also sees the inclusion of SA’s own Jake Lehmann, who recently scored an outstanding 173 runs in the 2nd XI against WA, and Wes Agar who collected five wickets in the second innings.

Squad of 12: Wes Agar, Jordan Buckingham, Alex Carey, Harry Conway, Daniel Drew, Henry Hunt, Jake Lehmann, Ben Manenti, Nathan McAndrew, Conor McInerney, Nathan McSweeney and Liam Scott

Nathan McSweeney, Nathan McAndrews and Jordan Buckingham's promising starts to the summer have also been recognised with their selection in the Australia A Four-Day Squad v India beginning later this month.

The Sheffield Shield match against QLD will begin at 10:30am ACDT and can be watched live on cricket.com.au and Kayo Sports.
