Jill Kennare Honoured with SACA Honorary Life Membership

The South Australian Cricket Association (SACA) is delighted to announce that Jill Kennare has been awarded Honorary Life Membership in recognition of her exceptional contributions to the game of cricket and her long-standing service to the organisation.

A former South Australian and Australian cricketer, Jill has left an unforgettable mark on the sport. She represented Australia on four occasions as captain, played 12 Test Matches and 19 One Day Internationals, and holds the distinction of being one of only two Australian women to score three Test centuries.

The South Australian Hall of Fame inductee’s impact extends far beyond her playing career. She has been a dedicated advocate for women's cricket and has served as a role model for countless aspiring athletes. Her commitment to SACA and the advancement of the game has been unwavering.  

"Jill Kennare is a true legend of South Australian cricket," said SACA President Will Rayner. "Her achievements on the field and her dedication to the sport are unparalleled. We are honoured to recognise her contributions with Honorary Life Membership."

Kennare's induction into the South Australian Sport Hall of Fame and her previous award of SACA Honorary Membership for Services Rendered and Honorary Life Membership at Lords further solidify her status as a cricketing icon.
