Access and Seating

SACA Member and Public Entry: This is a non-ticketed event and entry is free for all patrons.

SACA Members and Transferable Associate Cardholders can gain access to the exclusive Members' Area with their Member Card. A reminder that Member Cards (blue, yellow and gold cards) are not transferable and can only be used by the Member. Members must carry their Member Card and photo ID if accessing the Members' Area. If someone else is found using your Member Card a suspension or cancellation of Membership may apply. Random identification checks will be conducted on cricket match days.

Conditions of Entry: Cricket Australia Ticket & Entry Conditions apply to all patrons attending this match.

Please note restricted items listed under Section 19, including but not limited to alcohol, glass, cans, eskies and animals (other than guide dogs or other assistance animals required for medical reasons as documented in a medical certificate).

SACA Members' Area Dress Code: SACA Members and Transferable Associate Cardholders accessing the exclusive Members' Area should review the dress standards prior to attending the match. For more information on the SACA Members' Area Dress Standards click here.

Seating:

  • SACA Members' Seating:
    • SACA Members and Transferable Associate Cardholders will have access to an exclusive Members' Area in the Pavilion and adjacent grassed/seating areas, including a purpose-built viewing platform. SACA Members' Area Dress Standards will apply.
    • Members are also welcome to sit in the shared seating areas around the oval for this match.
  • Shared / Public Seating:
    • Patrons are encouraged to bring their own seating or a picnic rug to set up on the grassed areas around the oval.
    • Patrons will be able to access unreserved seating in the grandstand and a multi-level viewing platform on the east bank. Seating is available on a 'first come, first served' basis.
    • Patrons with mobility access requirements will have access to a viewing platform located next to the Members' Area.

SACA Members Children and Grandchildren: Children 9 years of age or younger (as at 31 August 2024) can gain access to the SACA Members' Area if accompanying their parent or grandparent who is a SACA Member (not available to Transferable Associate Cardholder's children).

SACA Member Daily Guest Passes: To prioritise Member access to the exclusive Member seating and food and beverage area, there are no Daily Guest Passes for this match.

Reciprocal Rights: There are no Reciprocal tickets for this match. As entry is non-ticketed, visiting club Members are welcome to access the match for free and sit in the shared seating areas.

Catering and Entertainment

Food and Beverage Options:

  • SACA Members' Area:
    • The Pavillion - A range of food and beverages will be available for purchase from Level 1 of the Pavilion from 8am.
    • A Members Bar will be open from 9am in the grassed area adjacent to the Pavilion.
  • Shared / Public Area:
    • The following food and beverage trucks will be available for all patrons at the northern end of the ground:
      • Botanicus Coffee: Available from 8am daily
      • Beyond India: Available from 11am - 4pm, Wednesday to Saturday
      • Enfes Gozleme: Available from 11am - 4pm daily
      • Moi An Viet Street Food: Available from 11am - 4pm daily
      • Sozas Sri Lanken: Available from 11am - 4pm daily
    • Additional bars will be open around the venue from 10am daily, serving beverages and Vilis pastries and snacks.

All food and beverage payments are by card only.

Free Play Area: Located on the back oval, kids can put their cricket skills to the test! This area will be open from 4pm Wednesday - Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday (pending state of play). Big screens and toilets will be available. This area is available for children aged 12 and under. All children must be supervised by their adult parent or guardian.

Car Parking: Car parking is available on the back ovals (enter via Port Road) from 8:00am for $20 per car. Payment is by card only. The car park off Glover Ave is closed to the public.

Venue and Facilities

Merchandise: SACA Member and State Merchandise ranges will be available to purchase at the northern end of the ground.

Card Only Payments: Karen Rolton Oval is a cashless venue. All credit and debit cards will be accepted and will be exempt of any surcharges imposed by the venue.

Storage/Cloak Room: There will be no storage area/cloak-room available for the holding of suitcases or other property during cricket events.

Restrooms: Temporary toilet facilities with change table provisions will be available for all patrons around the venue. SACA Members will also have access to toilets in the Pavilion.

Smoke Free Venue: Smoking, including the use of e-cigarettes, is not permitted at Karen Rolton Oval. Patrons who smoke in areas of Karen Rolton Oval will be evicted from the oval.

Cricket Etiquette: Please remember to show consideration to others by limiting movement in seating areas during play. It is particularly important to remain seated during an over. Standing or sitting in aisles or on stairways is not permitted due to safety regulations. Click here for more information regarding cricket etiquette.

Waste Management: SACA has implemented a waste management system at Karen Rolton Oval to better manage our impact on the environment. There are three different coloured bins to put your waste in and we need your help to make sure they are used correctly.

  • The yellow bin is for recycling, including 10 cent deposits. This includes plastic and glass bottle, cans and drink cartons, as well as other recyclable materials.
  • Organics can go into the green bin. This includes food scraps, tissues and paper towels, soiled cardboard and plant matter.
  • The red bin is for remaining mixed dry waste such as plastic food packaging, aluminium packaging, non-compostable coffee cups and food tins.
