Umpiring is a great way to stay involved in the game you love, either at the grassroots level or within elite national and international competitions.
People choose to become umpires for a variety of reasons, including enjoyment of the game, for fitness, to learn the laws of cricket and to help their club or association.
SACA runs a range of introductory and technical courses to assist newcomers and ensure existing umpires are given career development opportunities.
South Australian cricket umpires, regardless of what association they are involved with, are required to complete a minimum of a Community Officiating Accreditation and register to the South Australian Cricket Association (SACA).
