Each season The Les Favell Foundation supports young cricketers in South Australia achieve their dreams of playing at the highest level. The Les Favell Foundation was established in October 1988 following a suggestion by a former South Australian Cricket Association president, Phil Ridings. The creation of the foundation was viewed by the SACA as a way of honouring the memory of one of South Australia’s best-loved cricketers who also had a major role in coaching young players.
