South Australia's cricket teams are gearing up for an action-packed season on the road and at home during the 2025/26 domestic cricket season. Following a triumphant season that saw the men's team secure both the One-Day Cup and the Sheffield Shield, all eyes will be on the state's top cricketers as they seek to continue their success.
The SA Men will launch their season in Sydney. Their campaign begins at Cricket Central on Saturday, September 20, with a One-Day Cup match against New South Wales. The team will then return to Adelaide for a series of home fixtures at Karen Rolton Oval, starting with a match against Western Australia on Wednesday, September 24, followed by two more One-Day Cup matches at home.
Attention will then shift to the Sheffield Shield, where the SA Men will begin their title defence at the iconic Adelaide Oval. The SA Men will face Victoria in a blockbuster opening match starting on Sunday, October 4. In a highly anticipated encounter, the team will remain in Adelaide for a Sheffield Shield final rematch against Queensland, scheduled to begin on Wednesday, October 15, also at Adelaide Oval.
The SA Women will kick off their Women's National Cricket League (WNCL) season at home with two matches against Tasmania at Karen Rolton Oval on Friday, September 26, and Sunday, September 28. SA is then scheduled for a bye in the second round, before the players turn their focus to the shorter formats, with the T20 Spring Challenge and WBBL|11 set to take place. The WNCL season will then resume in the new year, with the SA Women travelling to Perth for two matches against Western Australia at the WACA Ground on Thursday, January 8, and a day-night match on Saturday, January 10.
